(1956-2013) Sameeha Rajab was a founding member of the Bahrain Contemporary Art Society and she was deeply engaged in shaping the region’s artistic identity. Her work, grounded in classical techniques, explored themes drawn from the cultural and social landscape of the Gulf.

(b. 1991) Hayfa Algwaiz is an architet and painter based in Riyadh, Saudia Arabia. She has exhibited her work across the Middle East, Europe and the United States. “My work explores ideas of memory, a sense and the experience of place through drawing, painting and spatial studies.”

(b. 2003) Roudhah Al Mazrouei is an Abu Dhabi based multidisciplinary artist and researcher whose practice is deeply rooted in cultural memory, ecological symbiosis, and archival presentation. While she primarily works with oil, her practice spans public art, film, sculpture and printmaking.
